Mock Cable Funky Knit Mitts

I made the first fingerless glove with double points and the second with the magic loop. The maiden voyage with magic loops, 40″ Addi Turbos size 6, and it was so much fun. I don’t know if I will go back to double points now.
Yarn: Blue Sky Alpacas Techno – 120 yds. 1 hank.
68% baby Alpaca/ 10% extra fine merino / 22% silk
They are quite comfy. The pattern was more fun on the second glove than the first.

My observation: The pattern did not have a right and left glove, both of them are the same. I think this is a mistake because we have a right an left hand and they are not the same. There could also have been one or two more stitches added for the thumb. The thumb is a little tight.

Pattern: Jive Mitts by Colleen Powley, bought a Cast Away in Santa Rosa, CA
I bought the yarn at Vogue Knitting Live in LA and later found the pattern for the yarn. I also  was attracted to the presentation of the pattern. I is printed on card stock rather than a sheet of paper. Nice packaging. Lastly, the pictured gloves on the pattern looked smaller than the finished product. I don’t think they did a good job representing what the finished glove would look like.
